Coordinates (9 columns)

RA (D) [deg] SAS task evalcorr

Corrected Right Ascension of the detection in degrees (J2000) after statistical correlation of the emldetect coordinates, RA_UNC and DEC_UNC, with the USNO B1.0 optical source catalogue using the SAS task eposcorr. In case where the cross-correlation is determined to be unreliable no correction is applied and this value is therefore the same as RA_UNC (cf. Sec. 3.1.3).

DEC (D) [deg]SAS task evalcorr

Corrected Declination of the detection in degrees (J2000) after statistical correlation of the emldetect coordinates, RA_UNC and DEC_UNC, with the USNO B1.0 optical source catalogue using the SAS task eposcorr. In case where the cross-correlation is determined to be unreliable no correction is applied and this value is therefore the same as DEC_UNC (cf. Sec. 3.1.3).

POSERR (E) [arcsec]

Total position uncertainty in arcseconds calculated by combining the statistical error RADEC_ERR and the systematic error SYSERR as follows:
POSERR = SQRT ( RADEC_ERR2 + SYSERR2 ).

This column was not given in 2XMMp.

LII (D) [deg] SAS task evalcorr

Galactic longitude of the detection in degrees corresponding to the (corrected) coordinates RA and DEC.

BII (D) [deg] SAS task evalcorr

Galactic latitude of the detection in degrees corresponding to the (corrected) coordinates RA and DEC.

RADEC_ERR (E) [arcsec] SAS task emldetect

Statistical 1 σ error on the detection position in arcseconds.

SYSERR (E) [arcsec]

The estimated systematic 1 σ error on the detection position in arcseconds. It is set to be 0."35 if the SAS task eposcorr results in a statistically reliable cross-correlation with USNO B1.0 optical catalogue. Otherwise the error is 1."0 (see Sec. 3.2.2 for details).

This column replaces SYSERRCC used in 2XMMp.

RA_UNC (D) [deg] SAS task emldetect

Right Ascension of the source in degrees (J2000) as determined by the SAS task emldetect by fitting a detection simultaneously in all cameras and energy bands.

DEC_UNC (D) [deg] SAS task emldetect

Declination of the source in degrees (J2000) as determined by the SAS task emldetect by fitting a detection simultaneously in all cameras and energy bands.
